KOOMEN, Elisabeth Gerarda (nee Klein Zieverink) – Died peacefully after a long full life on Sunday November 28th, 2021. Wife of the late Francisus Johannes Hazen (1958) and the late Peter Koomen (1992). Cherished Mother of John, Ida (Bryan), Mary (Jim), Frances (Brad), Joseph (Arlene) and Adrian (Ann Maria). Loved Oma of Kristopher (Zuda), Loriann (Scott), Jamie (Niki), Dustin (Krista), Tara (Jon), Maxfield and Mallory. Precious Great-Oma of Kyrson, Samuel, Camille, Adam, Sloan, Reece, Chloe and Kase. Fondly remembered by daughter-in-law Chris and great daughter-in-law Shannon. Dear sister of 13 siblings and many in-laws in the Netherlands. She will also be remembered by sister-in-law Josina KlienZieverink of Strathroy, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews including Jeff (Cindy) and Mary (Greg) in Ontario. Elisabeth is predeceased by her parents Antonius and Grada and brothers Gerardus, Wim, Harrie and Richard; her sister Angela, several brothers and sisters-in-law, son Gerry, infant son Joseph A., infant daughter Joanie, grandson Stephen and son-in-law Renald. A sincere thank you to Dr. Karen Fryer, Nurse Stephanie and the Saint Elizabeth Healthcare Team for the special care that kept Elisabeth so comfortable in her final year. As per Elisabeth’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place at a later date.
