RENKEMA - Peacefully at his residence to be with his Lord on Tuesday, January 27, 2009. Egbert W. Renkema of Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of the late Geertrude (nee de Boer) Renkema (2001). Dear father of Margaret Horinga and her husband Bill of Woodstock, Corrie Clark of Neustead, Garma Markus and her husband John of Beachville, Bert and his wife Linda of Londsborough, Albert and his wife Christine of Embro and Ralph and his wife Shirley of Woodstock and father-in-law of Tony VandenDool and his wife Grace of Clinton. Loved grandfather "Opa" of twenty-seven grandchildren and twenty- five great grandchildren. Dear brother of Albert and his wife Bets of Holland. Predeceased by his daughter Winnie VandenDool (1986), granddaughter Carla, great granddaughter KaraLynn, two brothers and three sisters. Egbert was a longtime member of the Covenant Christian Reformed Church. His passion for farming remained with him over the years. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Friday, January 30, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held at the Covenant Christian Reformed Church, 410 Lansdowne Ave., Woodstock on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 11:00 am with Pastor Robert Loerts officiating.
