Edward "Bud" A. Saunders

Edward "Bud" Saunders passed away peacefully and surrounded by love on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at VON Sakura House at the age of 86 years.  Beloved husband and best friend to Dona Saunders (nee Howlett), with whom he shared 66 wonderful years.   Loving father of   Rick (Linda), Budd (Nora), Stan (Nancy) and Steve (Helen).  Proud Grandpa of Kendall, Mitchel, Quentin, Becky, Samantha, Colin, Brooke and Luke, and Great-Grandpa of Karelle, Sophie, Harrison and Ellie.

Bud was one of 14 children born to Frederick and Elizabeth Saunders (nee Martin) and they grew up in a home filled with laughter - he is predeceased by his 9 brothers and 2 sisters, and is survived by his sisters Ena and Phyllis.  Bud worked for 34 years for Timberjack, and after retirement loved to spend his summers at the trailer in Bayfield and on the golf course.  He touched the hearts of all that knew him, and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Friends will be received at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave, Woodstock, on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 from 12pm-2pm.  Funeral service will take place at 2pm in the chapel at the funeral home, with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery.
