MERRIFIELD, Edward J.- Peacefully, at Woodstock Hospital on Tuesday June 26th 2012, Edward James Merrifield of RR # 1 Woodstock in his 89th year. Beloved husband for over 63 years of Eileen Marie Merrifield (nee McNulty). Greatly cherished and respected father of Ted (Estelle) of Manitoulin Island, Susan (Bob) McIntosh of Ancaster, Tom (Donna) of Collingwood, Nancy (Wayne) MacDonald, Mike, and Patti (Ryan) Ludington all of Woodstock. Proud grandfather of thirteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Survived by two brothers and four sisters and their families. Predeceased by two brothers and one sister. Ed served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during WW II. Friends and relatives may call at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Thursday June 28th 2012 from 2:30-4:30 and 7-9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, 904 Dundas Street Woodstock on Friday June 29th 2012 at 11:00 am with Father Rick Dales as celebrant. Cremation to follow.
