Eduino Oscar Bernard Moniz

MONIZ - At the Woodstock General Hospital on Monday September 27, 2010. Eduino Oscar Bernard Moniz of Woodstock and formerly of Toronto in his 68th year. Beloved husband of Albertina P. (nee Duarte) Moniz for nearly 40 years. Dear father of Rosa Moniz (Andrew Peat), Steve Moniz and Malissa Moniz all of Woodstock. Also survived by his many sisters, brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his son Paulo Jorje Moniz (1976) and by several brothers and sisters. Eduino was a landscaper and gardener for over 30 years and was an avid sports fan of Soccer, hockey and football. Friends are welcome to join the family at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Thursday September 30, 2010 from 2:30 - 4:30 and 7-9 pm, where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 1:30 pm with Fr. Richard Dales officiating. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery. Contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society - Lung Cancer Research would be appreciated.
