HUGHES, Ede M. - At Victoria Hospital, London on Thursday March 15, 2012. Ede Munro Hughes of Chieftain St., Woodstock in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Lola Jean (nee McMillan) Hughes for over 64 years. Dear father of Mike Hughes and his wife Mary of Norwich and Brian Hughes and his wife Janny of Woodstock. Loved grandfather of Laura, Kathryn, Matthew (Stephanie) and Erica. Predeceased by his sister Peg Wood and brothers Chip and Ross Hughes. Ede was a veteran of WW II, was a long time member of Royal Canadian Legion Br. # 55, Woodstock, and long term employee of Ontario Hydro. Friends will be received at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Friday March 16, 2012 from 7-9 pm, where the complete memorial service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 11:00 am with Rev. Don Moore officiating. Cremation has taken place. Interment later in the Hillview Cemetery.
