MIGHTON - At the Woodstock General Hospital on Tuesday May 1, 2007. William Edward "Ed" Mighton of Woodstock in his 89th year. Loved father of Bill and his wife Gwen of Burlington, Dianne Cecchin and her husband John Urquhart of Vancouver and Bob (Fran) of Woodstock. Dear grandfather of Jennifer (Geoff), Kristy (Brad), Stephanie and Brittany. Dear brother of Harold, Jim and his wife Kaye, Victoria "Tory" Scalisi and brother-in-law Doug Nelson. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Art and by his sisters Olive Thorne and Glenna Nelson. Ed was a longtime member of King Solomon's Masonic Lodge # 43, A.F. & A.M., a Shriner of the Mocha Temple, devoted member of the P.C. Party of Canada and enjoyed bowling, curling and playing bridge. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Thursday May 3, 2007 from 7-9 pm, where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 1:30 pm. Cremation will follow. Contributions to the Shriners Hospital for Children would be appreciated.
