Earl Harry Steinback

STEINBACK, Earl - Peacefully at People Care in Tavistock on Wednesday February 18, 2015 in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Joan (nee McArthur) Steinback for over 63 years. Cherished father to David (Nancy), Brian (Heidy), Kenneth (Cathy) and Susan (Hank) Van de Vondervoort. He will be lovingly missed by his grandchildren; Mark (Jess), David (Jess), Ian, Ruth, Melissa (Joshua), Scott and by his three great grandchildren. Earl was a long time resident of Oxford County. He was an educator for over 35 years in various county schools beginning at Kintore, Central, Chapel, Southside, D.M.Sutherland, Hickson and then retired from Oliver Stephens School. He couldn't wait to retire and "Go Fishing", tend to his massive garden and cut wood for the furnace .... or hunt ducks and pheasants. Earl enjoyed over 32 years of retirement. Friends are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Thursday February 26, 2015 from 12:00 - 1:00pm where a celebration of life will be held on Thursday at 1:00 pm with Pastor Tanya Ramer officiating. Cremation has taken place. Interment later in Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer Society Oxford County would be appreciated.
