EVANS - At the Woodstock General Hospital on Monday April 20, 2009. Earl S. Evans of Woodstock in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Janet M. (Nee McCombs) Evans for over 62 years. Dear father of Earl and his wife Reta of North Bay, Carol McDougall of Elmira, Ellen Grupstra and her husband Jack of Brantford and father-in-law of Russ MacIntosh of Baden. Loved grandfather of six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Dear brother of Isabel MackIntosh of Kitchener and survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Herbert and Areta Evans and by his daughter Brenda MacIntosh. Earl was a longtime member of the Oxford Baptist Church and was a past employee of Canada Sandpaper for over 40 years. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Thursday April 23, 2009 from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Oxford Baptist Church, 278 Hunter St., Woodstock on Friday at 1:00 pm with Pastor Don Reeve officiating.
