With sadness, Doug’s family announces his passing on Monday, October 16, 2023 at Woodstock Hospital at the age of 72. He is survived by his dear brother Bob (Robert) and wife Wendi, of Shrewsbury Mass. and Eleanor Shaw of Mt. Pleasant, Ont. He is also survived by his nieces, Keri Vokes and husband Kris; Lisa Walden and husband Scott and nephew Dan Shaw and grandnieces and grandnephews. Doug will be fondly remembered by Dan and Cindy Moat, Jim Grant and by all his friends at Crabby Joes, Coffee Culture, Fritzies and Charles Dickens.
One of 3 children born to John and Ada Nadalin, Doug was raised in Beachville. He was a sports enthusiast, following his favorite teams, the Leafs and Jays. He enjoyed playing golf and baseball and was very involved with the Woodstock Whalers Slo-Pitch team.
Doug’s family extends their thanks and gratitude to the nurses and staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Woodstock Hospital for the wonderful care and support he received.
A celebration of Doug’s Life will take place on Friday, November 3 from 4-7pm at the Woodstock Legion Branch 55, 642 Dundas St. Woodstock. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to the Brock and Visser Funeral Home.
