Douglas Alexander "Hank" Weir

WEIR, Douglas Alexander "Hank" - It is with great sadness that the family announce the sudden passing of Douglas Weir. He died unexpectedly, while in his sleep, at his home in St. Thomas, ON on October 1, 2015 in his 54th year. Douglas will be sadly missed by his loving wife and soulmate Margaret Jane (Louttit) Weir. Loved son of the late Alexander and Pearl (Wilson) Weir, son-in-law of Edward and the late Dorothy "Lily" Louttit. Brother to Bob (Maxine) and Gerry (the late Judy). Brother-in-law to Mary Ann Fradgley (Greg), Therese Venerus (Eddy), Catherine Hogarth (Brock) and Paul Louttit (Marianne). Also sadly missed by his nephews, nieces, cousins and his many friends. Doug married the love of his life, on February 6, 1999. His favourite pastimes were walking and playing with his dogs, as well as watching horse racing. When someone was in need, Doug was always the first one there to volunteer and lend a helping hand. He will be sorely missed by all his family and friends whom he helped out tirelessly for many years. Friends will be received on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 from 1-2pm at the Brock & Visser Funeral Home, Thamesford Chapel, 177 Dundas St., Thamesford, ON (519-285-2427) where the funeral will be held at 2:00pm. Private family interment in the Zion Cemetery. Reception at the Beaty Room located in the Thamesford Library.
