WALLACE, Douglas "Doug" Alexander - (November 5, 1932 - January 14, 2017) of Woodstock and formerly of Muir in his 85th year. Dearest husband of Marlene E. (nee Robertson) Wallace for over 60 years. Dear father of Robert (Janine) Wallace and their children; Janelle, Paige,and John; and Barbara (Robert) Livingston and their children Sarah and Jaime. Dear brother of Bev (late Ruth) Wallace, brother-in-law of Betty Wallace and Glen Kitchen and is survived by his many cousins, nieces and nephews. Doug was a longtime member of Eastwood United Church and a past member of the I.O.O.F. Predeceased by his parents John and Mae (nee Bennett) Wallace, by his brothers; John and Thomas Wallace and by his sister Jean Kitchen. Friends are welcome to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Tuesday January 17, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 11:00 am with Rev. Sarah Grady officiating. Interment later in the Pioneer Cemetery, Oxford Centre. If desired, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society - Multiple Myeloma Research, Woodstock Hospital Foundation or Sakura House would be appreciated.
