Douglas Glen Hutchison

HUTCHISON, Douglas "Doug" Glen - Passed away peacefully at Sakura House in Woodstock on Saturday December 3rd, 2016 in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Carol (nee Vieau) Hutchison for over 54 years. Dear father of Shelley (Steven) Holloway and Doug (Marg) Hutchison. Loved grandfather of Brent (Gwen) and Adam. Dear brother to Joan (Reg) Mitts, Gloria (Tom) Goodwin and brother-in-law to Linda Hutchison, Beverley (late Joe) Truin and Sharon (late Bob) Ethier. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Amos "Buck" and Mildred (nee Easterbrook) Hutchison and by his brother Jack. Doug was a long time gym teacher or how he was commonly referred to as "Hutch" in Port Hope from 1965 to 1995. He coached many high school sports in Port Hope along with a dedicated involvement in the local minor hockey leagues. A celebration of Doug's life will take place in Belleville later in spring of 2017. An announcement will follow. Cremation has taken place.
