CARTER, Doug - At the Woodstock Hospital on Monday February 3, 2014. Douglas "Doug" Edwin David Carter of Woodstock in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Sally Ann (Kenney) Carter for over 57 years. Dear father of Patricia Riness and her late husband Larry (2009) and Scott Carter and his wife Connie all of Woodstock. Loved grandfather of Jennie Riness, Trevor Riness, Ashley Carter (Jamie Sperberg) and Drew Carter (Stephanie Peeters). Dear brother to Donald Carter and his wife Marjorie of Stratford; brother-in-law to Sharon Schermerhorn (late Doug), Susan Carter and her husband Paul, Sandra Hoover, Bill Kenney and will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Edwin and Catherine Carter. Doug was a Mason with Oak Branch Masonic Lodge, # 261 Innerkip A.F. & A.M., a member of the Mocha Temple, Woodstock Shrine Club and the Woodstock Clown Unit. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Wednesday February 5, 2014 from 2 - 4 and 7-9 pm, where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday at 1:30 pm with Rev. Stan Cox officiating. Interment later in the Innerkip Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to the Woodstock Hospital or the Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children would be appreciated.
