BARTLEY, Douglas -Surrounded by his loving family at the Woodstock Hospital on Sunday December 8, 2013. Douglas Creighton Bartley of Woodstock in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Esther May (nee Loveday) Bartley for over 64 years. Dear father of Pam Davis (Ken) of Cambridge, Jennifer Garbutt (Bob) of Woodstock, Phyllis Bartley of London, Jim Bartley (Anita) of Woodstock and Dave Bartley (Brenda Froese - Bartley) of Terrace, BC. Loved grandfather of Stuart (Roweena), Nicole (Mark), Suzanne (Luke), Bob, Joshua (Melissa), Julia, Amy (Trevor), Adriene (Roland), Jesiah and great grandfather to Ryan, Eli, Ava and Jalynn. Dear brother-in-law to Mag Bartley. Doug will always be remembered by his extended family and life long friends. Predeceased by his parents Lloyd and Mary Ann (nee Young) Bartley and by his brother Clark Bartley. Doug and Esther have been long time members of Oxford Baptist Church, Woodstock. There he served with on the Board of Elders and many church committees. He worked at Commercial Print Craft for over 45 years and has been retired for over 26 years. Doug's love for life was lived through his God, his family, his Model "T" and camping. His family is thankful for the legacy of faith he left. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Tuesday December 10, 2013 from 7-9 pm, where the complete memorial service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 11:00 am. Cremation has taken place. Interment later in the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to Oxford Baptist Church or Woodstock Hospital would be appreciated.
