TAYLOR, Doug - Passed away in Port Elgin on Thursday September 13, 2012. G. Douglas "Doug" Taylor of Woodstock in his 62nd year. Beloved husband of Patricia "Pat" (nee Ferguson) Taylor for over 40 years. Dear father of Rebecca Chapman and her husband Cory and Jenn Taylor all of Woodstock. Loved son of Fern Taylor of London. Cherished son-in-law of Robena Olson (Jim) of Alliston and brother-in-law to Denise Cole (James), Mary Fitzpatrick (Mike) and Nancy Olson (Brian Thoman). Doug is also survived by his nephews Jesse and Matthew. Predeceased by his father George Taylor and father-in-law James Ferguson. Doug was a longtime employee of Woodstock General Hospital, he was a past member of the Woodstock Kinsman Club and was involved in many area organizations specifically C.I.S.M. (Critical Incidents Stress Management). He helped many of our frontline professionals deal with difficult situations. Friends are welcome to join the family for a time of visitation at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Wednesday September 19, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday at 1:30 pm with Rev. Mark McLennan officiating. Interment in the Presbyterian Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, Woodstock Hospital or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
