Dorothy Muriel Weaver

WEAVER, Dorothy Muriel (nee Knaggs) (1919-2015) Dorothy passed away peacefully on November 25, 2015 at a long term care facility in Mississauga, ON, at the age of 96 years. Dorothy was born at Burgessville, ON August 9, 1919, and was a lifelong resident of Oxford County. She was predeceased by her husband, Elmer Weaver, by her son Ronald and her daughter Donna, and by her sister Frances Brooks (Norm). She is survived by her nieces, Sharon Shields (Doug) of Oakville, ON and Carol Riches (Bob) of Collingwood, ON., by great-nephews Corey Russell (Tracy Britnell) and Casey Russell and by great-niece Jessica Pegelo (Richard). Dorothy was a Registered Nursing Assistant at Woodstock General Hospital for 23 years and was a long-time member of Oxford Baptist Church in Woodstock. A visitation will be held at Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Avenue, Woodstock 519-539-0004 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Monday, November 30th, 2015. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 1st, 2015 at Oxford Baptist Church, 278 Hunter Street, Woodstock, 519-537-7612. A private interment at Oxford Memorial Park cemetery will follow. In lieu of flowers, Dorothy has requested memorial donations to World Vision Canada or Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation.
