PEAT, Dorothy "Dot" Blanche (Overholt) - Formerly of Tuck Dr., Woodstock in her 97th year. Born July 18, 1914 in East Oxford Township, Oxford County. Passed away on Sunday December 12, 2010 at University Hospital, London. Oldest daughter of John M. and Ella May (Mighton) Overholt. Wife, best friend and soul mate of Thomas A. Peat (1998). Beloved only sister of Ella May Manson (2009). Adored and cherished "Auntie Dot" of Kathy and Brad Wildfong, Karen and Geoff Smith and Kelly Manson and Teresa Banar. Sister-in-law and friend of Craig Manson (2001) and Helen Herr (Charlie). Predeceased by her brothers-in-law Jim (Isabel) Peat, Lloyd (Vivian) Peat, Earle (Velma) Peat and sister-in-law Margaret (Ed) Shewan. Loved Aunt of many nieces and nephews in the Peat Family. Dot was the last surviving member of her own family's generation. Friends will be received at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Friday December 17, 2010 from 2:30 - 4:30 and 7-9 pm, where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Maya Landell officiating. Interment in the Princeton Cemetery. Contributions to the Eastwood United Church or the Woodstock General Hospital would be appreciated.
