Dorothy Helen "Dot" (Overholt) Owen

OWEN - Dorothy (Dot) Owen nee Overholt, passed away at the Woodstock Private Hospital on Monday October 5th, 2009. Dot was born October 13, 1923 in St. Catharines, Ontario, to the late Edward and Grace Overholt. Beloved wife of the late Fred Owen who predeceased her in 1992. Dot is survived by her loving nephew Philip Robert Overholt and his wife Karen of Brighton, Michigan., many nieces and nephews as well as Margaret Atkinson and her family. She will be forever remembered by her great niece and nephews Bob, Erica and Derek Overholt, and by her family and friends and for her quick wit, spirit of adventure and being a practical jokester. Dot struggled with many road blocks in life but dealt with them with strength and conviction. She so appreciated the friends who provided her with support, a phone call, or a Saturday visit. We are happy that she is at peace now, asleep in the arms of the Lord. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock 519-539-0004 on Saturday October 10th, 2009 after 10 am, where the funeral service will take place in the chapel at 11:00 am with Rev.
