Dorothy Mae (Brooks) Froud

FROUD- Peacefully at Woodstock General Hospital on Friday August 27, 2004. Dorothy Mae Froud (nee Brooks) of Woodstock at the age of 90. She was the daughter of the late Talmage and Gertrude Brooks of Springfield, Ontario and beloved wife of the late Ronald Froud (1977). She is survived by her daughter Cheryl and son-in-law Ian MacLean of Stratford, sister-in-law Doreen Brooks of Aylmer; her new family, Heather, Brent, Katherine and Andrew Lance of Petawawa; Shannon MacLean of Naples Florida; Brent, Melinda and Janna MacLean of Burlington. She also leaves her extended family of close nieces and nephews and many good friends. She was predeceased by her sister Kathleen (Brooks) Froud and husband Reg Froud of Toronto, her brother Orville and wife Beatrice, and brother Ralph all of Springfield. She was a member for 62 years of Central United Church, and for 57 years, of the Admiral Vansittart Chapter IODE. She belonged over the years to various duplicate marathon and social bridge groups. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, (539-0004) after 12:00pm on Thursday September 2, 2004, with the service held in the chapel at 1:30pm. Contributions to the Woodstock Hospital Foundation or to a charity of choice would be appreciated.
