Dorothy Ethel (Hilderley) Burton

BURTON, Dorothy E. – Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her residence on Thursday August 4, 2022. Dorothy E. (nee Hilderley) Burton of Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock and formerly of London in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Douglas M. Burton (1999). Dear mother of Pat (Gord) Adam, Donna Jansen (Dan Abbott), and Bob (Liz) Burton. Cherished grandma to Jeff (Enza) Abbott, Karen (Byron) Stoyles, Jennifer (Matt Tilley) Abbott, Kathy (Chris) Spencer, and great grandma B to Hannah + Kirsten Barker, Lauren + Kaelyn + Claire Stoyles, and Ken + Matthew Spencer. Dorothy will be dearly missed by her brother Bruce (Donna) Hilderley and by her many nieces, nephews, and friends.  Predeceased by her brothers Allan and Raymond Hilderley, by her parents Roy and Reta Hilderley and by her son-in-law Jake Jansen. Friends are welcome to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Monday August 8, 2022, from 10:00 – 11:00 am, where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday at 11:00 am. Interment in the Innerkip Cemetery following the reception. If desired, memorial contributions to the Innerkip United Church or the Palliative Care Program at Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock would be appreciated.
