Martin, Dorothy In loving memory of Dorothy May Martin (nee Burnham), born October 29, 1941 who passed away August 10th, 2011 at Woodstock General Hospital. Loving Wife of the late Myron Victor Martin. Dear Mother of Keith William Martin and stepmother to Donna Karen Jackson. Loved Grandmother of Jake Lou Mosher, Samuel Myron Marin and Ryan Mathew Martin. Dear sister of Loreena Richardson (Fred) of Wiarton, Carol of Warren, John, (late Donna), Fred (Debra) of Copper Cliff, Gerry (Jude) of Sudbury, and Robert (Virginia) of Florida. Predeceased by her parents John C. Burnham and Clara Cecilia (nee Demuynck). Dorothy was born in St Charles Ontario and moved to Toronto as a young woman where she met Myron and started her family. Home to Dot will always be Northern Ontario and shortly after the birth of her son, the family relocated to Horseshoe Lake Rd. in what is now Sudbury. The Martin family lived on Horseshoe Lake Rd for many years and moved to London up until the passing of Dorothy's husband and at which time Dot returned home, where she lived and will rest in St Charles. Dorothy was known for her love of life. She was a giving woman that appreciated the more simple things. A strong willed farm girl, a mother, a friend, devoted to God and her family. Friends will be received at the the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury on Saturday August 13, 2011 from 12:30-1:00, where the memorial funeral service will be held in the chapel at 1:00pm. Interment to follow in the St.Charles Cemetery.
