Doris Matilda Murray

MURRAY, Doris - Passed away peacefully on Friday, May 28,2021 at Woodstock Hospital in her 91st year.  Loving wife of the late Alex Murray (2018) for over 65 years.  Much loved mother of Wayne (Lisa) Murray, Don (Heather) Murray and Linda (Tim) Woolcox.  Dearly loved and cherished by her grandchildren Amanda (Ben) Sage, Derek (Amber) Murray, Cindy (John) Winstone and Kara Murray (Darryl Morrison).  Beloved great grandmother to Nolan and Liam Sage, Colton and Abby Murray, Kloe and Kaleb Winstone and Zoe and Abby Morrison.  Doris will also be greatly missed by her remaining sisters and brothers.  Rita (Charlie) Cole, Myrna Tolley, Allan (Lois) Zilke, Lila (Tom) Richardson, Artie (Moe) McGrath, Ivan Zilke, Shirley Zilke and Vi Curry

She was a faithful, long-time member of Oxford Baptist Church.  She missed being able to attend church services and socializing in person with her church family. Although she sometimes struggled with our modern-day technology, she did love being able to watch the weekly church service online.

She was devoted to her family and her most joyous times, were times spent with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her siblings. Zoom get togethers and Facetime chats were all new to Mom, but she adapted.  She so looked forward to the time when we would once again be able to get together in person as a whole family.

A private family graveside service will be held.  A celebration of life with family and friends will be held at a later date.
