Doris Jane (Kitching) Baker

BAKER, Doris Jane (nee Kitching) - Passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 26, 2023, two weeks after her 93rd birthday. Doris is pre-deceased by her husband of 62 years, Kenneth Ivan Baker. Loving mother of Keith (Kelly) and Lori/Elizabeth. Proud grandmother of Cadence, Skyla, Nicole, and Keir. Doris and Kenneth were also pre-deceased by two of their young children, Karyn and Warren. As a Social Worker, Doris spent her entire career working in social services and healthcare, advocating for those who needed it. Many friends, nieces, and nephews will miss hearing her voice. Friends may visit with family at the Brock & Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Avenue in Woodstock, Ontario on Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 6:30-8:30 pm and Friday, April 7, 2023 from 1:00-2:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held at Brock & Visser on Friday, April 7, 2023 at 2:00 pm, followed by a reception. Interment of ashes will follow on April 7, 2023.   The family wants to send their thanks and appreciation to the staff at Oxford Gardens in Woodstock, Woodstock General Hospital, Wildwood Long-Term Care Home in St. Marys and the staff in W1 at St. Marys Memorial Hospital.  If desired, memorial donations can be made to your favourite charity, or to St. Marys Memorial Hospital Foundation in Doris’ name.   Personal condolences may be sent and shared at brockandvisser.com
