GRIGGS, Doris - At her residence on Saturday December 22, 2012. Doris Susan Irene (nee Saunders) Griggs of Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock and formerly of Delatre St., Woodstock in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Frederick Griggs for over 60 years. Dear mother of Patricia Zehr and her husband Don of Woodstock, Frederick "Billy" Griggs of Niagara-on-the-lake, David Griggs and his wife Esther of St. Catharines, Tom Griggs and his wife Jeany of Langton and Margaret Walker and her husband Jim of Woodstock. Loved grandmother of Sherri Black, Tom Black, Steve Griggs, Tim Griggs, Becky Griggs, Karen Dona, Nick Dona, Ben Dona, Shayna Griggs, seven great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Dear sister of Ena Avey, Phyllis McGee, Jack Saunders and Bud Saunders. Doris will always be remembered by her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, many nieces and nephews and extended family. Predeceased by her siblings; Archie, Chip, Jim, Fred, George, Bill, Bob, Harold Saunders and Joyce Rutherford. Friends and relatives will be received by the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Wednesday December 26, 2012 from 2 - 4 and 7-9 pm, where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday at 1:30 pm with Pastor David Griggs officiating.
