HELWIG, Donna - Surrounded by her family at the Woodstock Hospital on Sunday June 10, 2012. Donna Corinne (nee Monteith) Helwig of Woodstock in her 56th year. Beloved wife of David C. Helwig for 30 years. Dear mother of Jennifer Waterston (Andrew) of Brantford and Carrie-Lynn Helwig (Marcus ) of Woodstock. Loved grandmother of Hunter Parvanyik and Leah Chambers. Cherished daughter of Cora Nelson of London and daughter-in-law to Yvonne Jensen (Joseph Ramsay) of London. Dear sister of Janet Steenstra (Dick), Jim Monteith (Andrea), Barry Monteith (Kathy) and sister-in-law to Al (Betty) Paterson, Paul Helwig (Susan) and Christine Brown (John). Predeceased by her father Donald Monteith, step father Robert Nelson, fathers-in-law Frank Jensen and Lawrence Helwig and siblings Robert (Shirley) Monteith, Lynn Paterson and Eric Monteith. Donna will be sadly missed by her co-workers and friends at the Woodstock Slots. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Wednesday June 13, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday at 1:30 pm with Rev. David Snihur officiating. Interment in the Dorchester Union Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
