WRIGGLESWORTH – It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Paul Wrigglesworth, of Woodstock, on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024 in his 77th year.
Reunited with the love of his life, Rosemary (November 2023), on her first heavenly birthday.
Identical twin brother to Ronald Wrigglesworth (Betty) of Chatham.
Father to Sally Driedger (George) of Tillsonburg.
Cherished Uncle of Gregory D. Wrigglesworth (Katherine) of Windsor and Laura J. Smith (Jason) of Chatham.
Extremely proud Great Uncle to Grace, Aubrey and Sloane.
Don also leaves behind many special Nieces, Nephews and Grandchildren,  with those he loved far too long to list.
He cherished those relationships and enjoyed time catching up, especially with Cindy & Tony Stranges.
Don was born in Brantford, Ontario, and attended Otterville Public School, then Norwich District High School.  At 17, he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force, where he proudly served.  Later, he was accepted into the University of Western Ontario, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree.
Upon moving to Woodstock, he worked in the office at Standard Tube, and then Fisher Controls.
For years, Don was a dedicated member of the Navy Club and the Royal Canadian Legion, as well as Old St Paul’s Anglican Church in Woodstock, where he was loved by many.
Don had a great sense of humour, after all, he was a die-hard Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays fan.
Over the years, he spent countless hours on the golf course and in the curling rink.  He loved kids, which became apparent when – in retirement – he decided to drive school bus, which warmed his heart and gave him great satisfaction.
He was meticulous, straight to the point, appreciated a good joke, played a mean game of euchre and loved his dog, Abbey, fiercely.
He will be missed by all who knew him, because all who knew him, loved him.
As per Don’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
A memorial visitation will take place on Friday, February 9th from 2 to 4pm at Brock & Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004).  Prayers to follow.
