LEEDHAM, Don - Passed away peacefully on Friday January 24th, 2020 at the Woodstock Hospital in his 92nd year. Don was born in Simcoe, Ontario on September 6, 1928. Beloved husband of the late Reita Mae (nee Kenline) Leedham (1998). Loving father of Pat Elliott (Bob) and Scott Leedham (Jill). Fondly remembered by Grandchildren Becky Mayes (Bill), Drew Elliott (Michelle), Marlee Leedham (Richard), Megan Leedham (Mark). Affectionately referred to as Apple Papa by his Great Grandchildren Bridget and Jorja Mayes and Jack Elliott. Survived by his sister Rosemarie Geiling (Gary) and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parent’s Archie and Ina Leedham and his sister Phyllis Balfour Thompson (Gord). Don will be remembered fondly by Marge Leedham and Family. Don was a veteran of the OPP where he served for 31 years. After his retirement he worked as a Court Constable at the Woodstock Court House, was a member of the Masonic Order, Shriners, Navy Club and St. David's United Church, Woodstock. He enjoyed golfing, storytelling, tending to his apple trees and rose bushes, baking bread, vacationing in Florida and family celebrations especially at his daughter Pat’s cottage at Long Point. Friends are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave. Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Wednesday January 29, 2020 from 6 - 8 pm and again on Thursday from 12:30 - 1:30pm, where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday at 1:30 pm with Rev. Jane van Patter officiating. Interment in the Fairview Cemetery, Forestville at a later date. If desired ,memorial contributions to the St. David's United Church Memorial Fund would be gratefully appreciated.
