Donald Mckenzie Kirkpatrick

Donald McKenzie Kirkpatrick passed away peacefully on July 30, 2024, at the age of 95, in Woodstock, Ontario. Born on July 24, 1929, in Ingersoll, Donald's life was a testament to the value of hard work and the joy of working with his hands.

Donald was the beloved husband of the late Virginia Kirkpatrick, who predeceased him in 2022.  He was a devoted father to his children, Don (Gwen) of Sebringville, Kevin of Stratford, Keith of Madoc, Nancy Furber (Mike) of Hagersville, and Susan Seufert (Frank Van Doorn) of Cremona, Alberta. His legacy continues through his six adoring grandchildren, who will carry forward the examples that he set.

Predeceased by his brothers Deyo, Wallace and Ross Kirkpatrick. Donald is survived by his twin sister, Doris Bowles of Simcoe.

Donald dedicated 39 years of his life to Bell Canada, where he worked on the line crew. His commitment to his work was paralleled only by his commitment to his family and long term membership to a lodge.

The family is so grateful for the care and compassion provided by the nursing staff at Woodstock Hospital and the staff at Oxford Gardens.

A private, graveside service will be held to honor Donald at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to the Woodstock Hospital or a charity of one’s choosing.
