SMITH- Peacefully at the Woodstock General Hospital on Wednesday October 27, 2004. Dominic (Dom) Smith of R.R. #6 Woodstock in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of 57 years to Edythe M. Smith (nee Lewis). Loved son of the late Thomas and Mary Smith. Dear father of Mike Smith of Strathroy, Richard and his wife Nancy of Woodstock, Daniel and his wife Kelly of Maplewood B.C. Loved grandfather of Jenna Smith (Shane Edward), Aaron (Wendy) Smith; Justin Smith (Sharon Pinheiro), Corey Smith; Troy, Curtis and Clarissa Smith. Loved great grandfather of Jacob Smith and Quinlan Edward. Dear brother of Terry and his wife Noreen, Joan and her husband Norman, Margaret Schooley, Thomas and his wife Mary Ellen. Also survived by sister-in-law Gertrude Smith and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother Patrick. Dominic was a lifetime citizen of Woodstock, he served in the Royal Canadian Navy for four years as a radar operator, and was also President of the Oxford County Naval Veterans Association for six years. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church 155 Oxford St. Woodstock Monday at 11:00 am with Fr. Michael O'Brien officiating . Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery.
