D. Lee Laur

Passed away after a lengthy illness at Caressant Care, Woodstock on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the age of 94 years.     Lee was predeceased by his beloved wife Joyce in 2016.  Fondly remembered by his children and grandchildren:  Noel-Paul Laur (Debbie) and children Chrysler, Carter, Carling and Caitlyn; Lindalee Laur (Kaare) and children Kjartan and Gertrud;  Calvin Laur (Gail) and children Adam and Graham; Christopher Laur and children Robert and Thomas.  Lee is also survived by several great-grandchildren.    Predeceased by his parents, Dellmer and Ruby Laur.

Mr. Laur was principal at several local public elementary schools over his career, most notably at Zorra Highland Park PS in Embro and Oliver Stephens PS in Woodstock.   In his free time, Lee enjoyed his hobby farm in Embro.  He was a lover of organ music and was a former member of the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church Choir in Kitchener.

In keeping with Lee’s wishes, services will be private.  For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.  Arrangements entrusted to the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, Woodstock.
