Dieter Alfred Schwarz

Dieter was a kind and adventurous man, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2023, in Woodstock, Ontario. Born on May 4, 1955, in Austria, Dieter was 67 years old at the time of his passing. He is survived by his loving sons, Christopher (Stephanie) and Peter (Krystyna), and was the cherished Opa to Ashley, Dean , Tyler,  Sara,  Jaden , Emma, Alex and Carson. Dieter was predeceased by his late wife, Marie Ellen, in 2012. Predeceased by his parents Fritz and Herta Schwarz. Also survived by many friends and distant family.

Growing up in Austria and coming to Canada at the age of 14, Dieter developed a love for the outdoors at an early age. His adventurous spirit and kind heart were evident to all who knew him. Later in life, Dieter continued to share his love for nature with his own children, often taking them camping and boating. These trips created lasting memories that his family will cherish forever. Dieter's life was filled with adventure, love, and a deep passion for motor sports, which he enthusiastically shared with those around him.

Dieter's greatest joy in life was spending time with his children and grandchildren. His love for them was evident in everything he did, and his presence will be deeply missed.

Dieter's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His kindness, adventurous spirit, and unwavering love for his family will be remembered fondly by all who were fortunate enough to have him in their lives. Dieter's legacy will live on through his children and grandchildren, who will always remember the wonderful memories they shared with their beloved father and Opa.

A visitation will be held on Monday April 17th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Brock and Visser Funeral Home (845 Devonshire Ave.) A Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday April 18th at 11 am at Holy Trinity Parish (1420 Devonshire Ave.). Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.  Dieter Alfred Schwarz will be dearly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts and minds of those who knew him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the love of his family.
