Diana Marie Figg

April 14, 1951 — March 29, 2024

Diana Marie Figg passed away peacefully on March 29, 2024, at the age of 72 in her hometown of Woodstock, Ontario. She was surrounded by family, friends, and a community whose lives she touched.

Born on April 14, 1951, to her loving parents, the late Ronald James Figg (2017) and Shirley Alice Figg (2013), Diana's life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and memories she meticulously curated over her lifetime.

Diana was the devoted wife to her husband, Bogdan Rog, and stood as a pillar of strength throughout their 34-year journey together. Diana was a guiding light and friend to her siblings: Robert Figg (Margaret), the late James Figg (Frances), Richard Figg (Deborah), and late sister-in-law Cindy Figg. Diana deeply cherished her relationships with her nieces and nephews: Sheri Derrick (Steve), Tammy Hainer (Paul), Jeffery Figg (Lisa), Paul Figg (Tanya), Amy Figg (Jeremy), and Sydney Figg. Her beautiful spirit was further extended through her role as a stepmom to Evelina Rog (Rick Wilson) and Chris Rog (Nicole Rog) and she delighted in being "Grandma D" to Liam, Lucas, Simon, McCoy, and Oliver, showering them with a zest for life that will be deeply missed.

Diana enjoyed her time at the family's Wiarton trailer, being surrounded by family and friends. This special haven was a place of laughter, shared stories, and the centerpiece of countless precious moments. She will also be remembered by the many cherished friends she made at the Chieftain Community, where she loved to play cards and share laughs. Known for her sense of humor and thoughtfulness, Diana loved to laugh but loved to make others laugh even more, with her creative and beloved antics.

A master of organization and wit, Diana dedicated over four decades as the School Secretary at Harrisfield Public School (formerly Harris Heights). Her tenure saw many principals come and go, and it was an open secret that Diana was the real person in charge. She wasn't just the gatekeeper of attendance sheets and sticky notes; she was the heart and soul that kept everything running smoothly. Outside of her work, Diana's passion for creativity knew no bounds. With a flair for scrapbooking long before it became a trend, her handcrafted albums are treasured keepsakes that tell the vibrant stories of family, joy, milestones, and the everyday magic of life.

As her family, friends, and community bid farewell to Diana Marie Figg, we celebrate the remarkable life of a woman who was truly one of a kind. She walked this earth with a boundless heart, touching the lives of many, and leaving behind a mosaic of memories that will be cherished and revered by all who were fortunate enough to know her. The legacy of Diana Marie Figg is one that will be held dear, always remembered, and continuously celebrated.

A celebration of Diana’s life will take place on Saturday, April 13th, 2024, from 1pm to 3pm at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, ON.
