Derek Thomas Johnson

JOHNSON, Derek: July 7, 1991-November 1,2014. His suffering is over and his heavenly life began on Saturday, when he passed peacefully in his sleep. He runs, he plays and talks with Jesus; things his earthly body would not allow. He will be greatly missed by his mother June Habekost, his very special friend and brother Jonathan Habekost and his adopted brothers and sisters, Mark and Steven Wassing, Lana Habekost, Allyson Heidina and their respective spouses and children. In addition, he will be missed by his biological mother and father, Leonard Johnson and Bernadette Duncan in Alberta, as well as numerous biological sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces. A special thank you goes out to his friend and very special nurse, Carol Hutchison, PSW Kim Wood, Dr. Fryer, Dr. Harrigan, Dr. Hamilton and all others who took the time to know Derek and contributed to his special care over the years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VON Sakura House in Derek's memory. His smile will never be forgotten. A casual memorial service and get together will be held at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock 519-539-0004 on Saturday November 8th, 2014 at 6:00pm.
