PILKEY, Dennis Morris - June 30, 1951 – August 17, 2020. Our hearts are broken as we share the news of the sudden passing of a remarkable man after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Dennis was the beloved husband of Bonnie and Sheryl (1998) He was the much loved father of Roger (Carrie), Bill (Kim), Laura (Pete) and cherished stepfather to Dana (Anthony). Dennis dearly loved (and loved to tease!) his 9 grandchildren Alley (Gerry), Ethan, Tyler, Wes, Katie, Leslie (Adam), Megan, Addy and Quinn. He was the much loved brother of Richard (Susan), Terry (Tim), and Tammy (Gord). He was a dear brother in law to Jackie (Laurent), Dave (May), Lindsay (Lynne). Dennis was much loved by his mothers in law, Betty Lowes and Irene Sadowiak. Dennis worked for 43 years at Noblewood Milk Transport and was exceptional at his job. Many of his children continue his legacy. Throughout all of his working life, the farm was his passion and so a few years ago he was able to retire in order to farm to his heart’s content. He loved the land and all the animals that came and went from the old barn throughout the years. Dennis leaves behind so many people whose lives he touched. He had an incredible gift of making everyone feel special and everyone has at least a few “Dennis memories” that make them smile. His family, friends, and beloved church family at Dundas Street United Church will miss him so much. Visitation will be held at Brock & Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Friday Aug 21 st from 2 - 4pm and 6 - 8 pm. There will be a private family service at a later date, with interment taking place at Burgessville Baptist Cemetery. If desired, donations to Dundas Street United Church or VON would be much appreciated. Personal condolences may be sent at www.brockandvisser.com
