HEMSWORTH - At his residence on Friday, October 16, 2009, Dennis Hemsworth of Caressant Care, Woodstock, in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Betty Hemsworth (nee Crollen) and the late Mary Hemsworth (nee Shepherd). Dear father of Steven Hemsworth (Karen) of Wawa and Terry Hemsworth (Carol) of Meaford. Loved grandfather of Kathleen, Kevin, Kelly, Tracy, and Robert and also remembered by several great grandchildren. Dear brother of Frank Hemsworth (Pauline) of Woodstock and Harold Hemsworth (Joyce) of Orillia. Predeceased by his sisters Alice Jibson and Ruth Ferguson and great granddaughter Carleigh Campbell. Dennis served overseas during WWII with the Lincoln and Welland Regiment and was Past President of the Woodstock and District Boy Scouts. Friends will be received at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, (519-539-0004) on Monday, October 19, 2009 after 12:30 pm where the funeral service will be held in the chapel at 1:30 pm with Rev. Malcolm Rust officiating. Interment in Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery.
