Dennis Lee Edlington

EDLINGTON- Suddenly at his residence on Saturday September 17, 2005. Dennis Lee Edlington of Nesbitt Cres. Woodstock in his 54th year. Beloved husband of Joanne Marie Edlington (nee Smith). Beloved son of Helen Wilsdon (Gerald) of London. Cherished father of Terri Edlington (Andrew) and Robert Edlington all of Woodstock. Loved brother of Joanne Simpson and her husband Wayne of Kintore. Dear son-in-law of Jewel and Gordon Smith of Fort Erie and brother-in-law of Gail Hollingshead and her husband John of Waterloo. Special uncle of Travis and Ben Windling and Kimberley and Brian Hollingshead. Dennis was employed with the O.P.P. for over 31 years, retiring in 2003 as Staff Sargeant. He worked in various detachments including, Tillsonburg, Woodstock, Orillia, Minden, Waterdown and Simcoe and currently was employed with the Township of Zorra and South West Oxford as a bylaw officer. Dennis was a longtime member of Lions Club International and was currently President of the Lions Club of Woodstock and a volunteer with the United Way of Oxford. Predeceased by his father James Ross Edlington. Friends may call at the R.D.
