HAYWARD, D. Eileen – Peacefully at Sakura House, Woodstock on Tuesday October 18, 2022, in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late William “Bill” F. Hayward (2009). Loving mother of Brenda (late Stan - 2011) Symons and Linda (Don) Ross. Cherished grandmother of Bob (Cassie) Symons, Barb (Adrian) Op’t Hoog, Lori Ross (Jean), Carrie (Jon) Robinson, and great grandmother of Kyle, Avery, Noah, Sara, Mae, Lauren, and Brock. Predeceased by her grandson Bill Symons, by her brothers Colebrook Shelby, Clifford Shelby, Bruce Shelby, and by her sisters, Ruth Hendershot, and Kathleen Shelby. Eileen was a longtime member of Eastwood United Church where she served as Choir Director and played the church organ. Eileen will always be fondly remembered for teaching music to her many students throughout Oxford County over many years. Friends may call at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Saturday October 22, 2022, from 10 – 11 am, where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 11:00 am. Interment in the Innerkip Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to St. Elizabeth Health Care Palliative Care Team or a charity of your choice would be gratefully appreciated.
