David Allen Brown, known affectionately as Dave to his friends and family, left this stage of life with the same flair and gusto with which he lived it, on September 11, 2024, at the age of 66. Born on July 15, 1958, in the vibrant city of Halifax.
Dave's life was a jackpot of memories, filled with the bright lights and jingling sounds of slot machines, the thrill of yelling "Bingo!" at just the right moment, and a treasured collection of curiosities that could rival any antique shop's inventory. He was a man who knew the value of a cheeky smile and a well-timed wink, often leaving those around him in stitches with his humorous quips and playful banter. His love for country music was only matched by his passion for life's finer things, namely women and a good glass of whiskey.
Dave's legacy includes his sons, David Brown; Charles McCombs, his daughters, Kathleen St-Cyr (Dillon), Theresa Davis (Jason), Crystal McCombs; and Robina Willis (Christopher). Dave's spirit will also live on through several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In the great bingo hall in the sky, Dave is probably charming the angels with his tales. He left us as he lived: with a sense of humor, a twinkle in his eye, and the knowledge that life is a game where we all have to play the cards we're dealt. Dave played his hand exceptionally well, with a blend of humor, love, and a touch of mischief.
As we say our final “Bingo” to Dave, we raise a glass and take comfort in knowing Dave is watching us from the great beyond, a place where the slot machines always pay out and the country music never stops.
Cremation has taken place and funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Brock and Visser Funeral Homes.
