David Vondervoort

VONDERVOORT - Peacefully at his home with his family at his side after a courageous battle with cancer, on Monday July 28, 2003. David Vondervoort of Grace St., Woodstock in his 39th year. Beloved husband of Michele Vondervoort (nee Brokers) and devoted father of Corinne and Katie. Loving son of Case and Corrie Vondervoort of Innerkip and son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Brokers of Woodstock. Sadly missed by his brothers Adrian(Deb), Carl (Lisa), Paul (Sheri), sister-in-law Joanne Hart (Jeff) and brother-in-law Paul Brokers (Dawn) all of Woodstock. Cherished uncle of Ashley, Ryan, Chelsea, Kelly, Bryce, Alex, Emma, Heather, Ashley, Danielle, Carly, Craig and Hillary. Predeceased by his sister Cathy. David was extremely active in his daughters' sports lives, coaching many of their teams, including the Woodstock Chill Basketball Team. He worked at A&D Fabricating with his brother Adrian as a general machinist. Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life Memorial Service to be held at New St. Paul's Anglican Church, 723 Dundas St., Woodstock on Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm with Rev. Megan Collings-Moore officiating. Private family interment later in the Innerkip Cemetery. Contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or New St Pauls Anglican Church would be appreciated and may be arranged through the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, Woodstock (539-0004).
