David Lewis Richards

David Lewis Richards a devoted servant of god and cherished member of our community, peacefully entered into the presence of the lord on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at the age of 69. Lewis is survived by his son Shawn Jackson( Jessica) with whom he shared an enduring bond. He reveled in the joy of his 3 grandchildren, whose laughter and love meant the world to him. Loved brother to Mike Clarke, Steve Richards, Brad White, Bill Richards, James Richards( Daniela), Myra Richards(Angelo), and Trevor Richards. His warm spirit and unwavering kindness will be deeply missed by many nieces and nephews who adored their uncle. He will also be missed by his special aunt Marina Leonard and cousin Lori Richards. Lewis will be greatly missed by his aunts, uncles, and cousins. Lewis will be fondly remembered by his family friend Pastor Harry Hadden from Georgia. David was predeceased by his parents, David and Phyllis Richards, as well as his late step-mother Pat Richards and her partner Tom Cowan.

Lewis was known for his kindness, integrity, and unwavering support for those around him. He had a natural ability to connect with people, and his warm smile could brighten anyone's day. As a devoted father, he cherished every moment spent with his son, sharing his love for the outdoors and teaching him the values of hard work and compassion.

Lewis found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He often spent weekends tending to his garden, watching nature, where he found solace and inspiration. His love for drawing was infectious, and he shared countless evenings with friends and family, creating memories that would last a lifetime.

A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Lewis on Sunday, April 6, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion located at 642 Dundas Street, Woodstock, ON, N4S 1E3. Friends, family, and all whose lives were touched by Lewis are welcome to join in celebrating a remarkable life filled with love, laughter, and treasured moments.
