NESS-JACK, David Thomas- Passed away in his 98th year at Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock and formerly of Victoria St., on Thursday October 20th 2016. Beloved husband of the late Helen E. (nee MacPherson) Ness-Jack (2014) for over 67 years. Loved father of William T. (Annie) Ness-Jack, Ian (Wendy) Ness-Jack and the late Paul Ness-Jack (2007). Cherished grandfather of Blair (Leah), Shannon and Brian. Predeceased by his siblings Jan Barfoot, Beth McCartney and Robina Gimbert. David served with the Elgin Regiment during WWII and was a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #55, Woodstock. He was a member of the King Solomon's Masonic Lodge No. 43 A.F. & A.M., Woodstock and a 33rd degree member of the Scottish Rite. A member of the Board of Managers, Elder and longtime member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Woodstock. He was also a past Cub Master with Scouts Canada, a past member of the Woodstock Curling Club and the Woodstock Horticultural Society. One of his lasting marks on our community was David's commitment as a founding member of Blossom Park School and an original organizer of A.R.C. Industries. Friends may call at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Monday October 24, 2016 from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 11:00 am with the Rev. Mark McLennan officiating. Interment in Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery. Contributions to Woodstock District Developmental Services or Knox Presbyterian Church Building Fund, Woodstock are appreciated.
