MacDonald -After a courageous battle, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord, on Saturday November 26, 2005. David J. MacDonald of Woodstock in his 76th year. Beloved husband of Marie T. MacDonald (nee Burns). Son of the late Janet (nee MacRae) and Alexander MacDonald. Loving father of David and his wife Jane and Bonnie Lampman and her husband Mark all of Woodstock, John and his wife Mary-Jo and Marianne MacDonald-DeBock and her husband Guy all of London. Dear grandpa of Nicholas, Jennifer, Monica, Ryan, Michael and Emily and great papa of Owen. Dear brother of Donald and Mary MacDougall both of Nova Scotia, Alex and his wife Angela of Sarnia and Christina Schofield and her husband David of Woodstock. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Allan and sister Margaret. David has been a member of St. Rita's Roman Catholic Church for many years and employed with Standard Tube for approximately 39 years. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (539-0004) on Tuesday 7-9 pm. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Community (St. Rita's) , 904 Dundas St., Woodstock on Wednesday at 10:00 am with Fr. Chris Gevaert officiating. Interment in the St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery. Contributions to the Holy Trinity Building Fund or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
