David Douglas "Longie" Long

LONG - As the result of an accident on Wednesday August 20, 2008 in Woodstock, David "Dave" D. Long "Longie" of Woodstock in his 52nd year. Beloved husband of Linda H. (nee McKay) Long for over 21 years. He will be sadly missed by his son Ian Long of Woodstock and by his daughter Madison Long "Molly his Dolly" at home. Dear son of Harry and Anne (nee Pearson) Long of Norwich and son-in-law of Helen McKay of Tavistock.Loved brother of Teresa Purola (Randy), Jeff Long (Julie), Brad Long (Tammy), Katrina Long and brother-in-law of Graham McKay (Rosemary), Janice Leis (Wes), Kenneth McKay (Cindy), Scott McKay (Jackie) and Andy McKay (Sylvie) and survived by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his twin daughters Brooke and Courtney (1997), Father-in-law Lloyd McKay (2000) and brother-in-law Tim (1999). Dave was an employee of CAMI Automotive for over 18 years, was a member of the CAW Local 88, Ingersoll and had played and umpired ball in Woodstock and area for many years. A private family service will be held at the Longworth Funeral Home, Woodstock, 519-539-0004. Cremation followed.
