David Robert Edwards

EDWARDS, David R. - Peacefully at University Hospital in London Ontario on Monday April 18th, 2016 with his loving children by his side. David, of Woodstock, formerly of Stratford and Beachville fought a courageous battle with kidney disease. He was in his 73rd year. Loving dad of Vicki (Bill) Ferreira of Long Point, Donna Jeanne "D J" (Scott) Alexander of Burgessville, Michelle (Richard) Whatley of Ingersoll and David (Ingrid) Edwards of Englehart. Loving grandpa to Tommy, Tony, Trent, Ashley, Alexandria, Emily, Jonathon, Joshua, Zachary and Cameron and also many great grandchildren. Beloved brother to Marion. He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. David is predeceased by his parents Robert and Gertrude and brothers Harry, Reg, Dwayne and sister Joan. Dad was a longtime member of the Beachville Legion and Beachville Fire Department and was also a dedicated employee of Yundt Brothers Construction for 44 years. The family would like to thank the staff at Oxford Gardens and the Dialysis Unit of Woodstock Hospital for the excellent care and compassion given to dad over the last 6 years. As well we would like to thank the staff at University Hospital Critical Care Unit, especially nurse Glen and Dr. Stephanie for their compassion, care and respect given to dad through his final journey. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Thursday April 21st, 2016 from 2-4 pm and again at 7 - 9 pm, where a funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 2:00 pm.
