Darrel William Ilton

ILTON - At London Health Sciences Centre - Victoria Hospital on Sunday January 6, 2008. Darrel William Ilton of Burtch St., Woodstock in his 66th year. Beloved husband of Pat Harwood. Dear son of the late Gordon Ilton (1966) and Margaret (nee Ferris) Ilton (2000). Loved father of Leslie Wardell (Jason) of Simcoe and Darrel Ilton Jr. And his wife Carrie of Otterville and will always be remembered by his seven grandchildren. He will be missed by his sister-in-law Brenda Goeckler and her husband Ed of Aylmer and extended family. Predeceased by his brothers George (1994) and Wayne (2002). Darrel worked for over 25 years with the Norfolk County Works Dept., he loved music, playing guitar, singing and fishing with family and friends. Darrel was Peoples Warden of St. Andrews Church, Turkey Point for several years. A private family service will be held at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 with Rev. David Snihur the officiant. Cremation has taken place, interment later in the Normandale Cemetery. Contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Woodstock General Hospital Building Fund would be appreciated.
