D. W. George Macaskill

MACASKILL, George - At the Woodstock Hospital on Friday October 25, 2013. D.W. George Macaskill of Woodstock in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Margaret Macaskill (nee Campbell) for 54 years. Dear father of Sheena (Steve), David and Lesley (Chris). Proud grandfather of Jane, Jennifer, Alison, Megan, Matthew, Nicola and Anna. George immigrated to western Canada from Scotland in 1959 where he practised as a veterinary surgeon. In 1978, he co-founded Feed Ingredients Ltd. in Princeton, Ontario. Retirement years were spent enjoying many rounds of golf at Craigowan Golf and Country Club with his buddies Bob, Sid and Tom. Everyone who met George appreciated his keen sense of humour and sharp intellect. The family would like to thank Dr. Jennifer Bonnet and the wonderful caring nurses on the second floor of Woodstock General Hospital. A memorial gathering by the family will take place at a later date.
