CHATTINGTON - At the Woodstock General Hospital on Saturday January 5, 2008. Clarence Charles Chattington formerly of Canterbury St., Woodstock in his 97th year. Beloved husband of the late Nellie Georgette (nee Clark)(1983) and the late Violet Flora (nee Wilker)(2003). Dear father of Terry Chattington and his wife Stella of Ilderton, Dianne Drew and her husband Barry of Toronto and Lynne Fell and her husband William of Hawkestone. Dear stepfather of Carolyn Mutton and her husband Jim of Tillsonburg, Barry Armstrong and his wife Bev of Woodstock. Dear father-in-law of Sandra Chattington of Woodstock. Loved grandfather of many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dear brother Doreen Pow of Simcoe. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sons Harry, Reginald, Paul (Gaye), Richard and by his brother Harry and sisters Violet Clark and Lillian Stevenson. Clarence was a Woodstock city councillor for many years, sat on many boards such as the Woodstock General Hospital, UAW Executive, Woodstock Parks and Recreation and a longtime member of Bethany Lutheran Church. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave. Woodstock 519-539-0004 Monday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church 175 Springbank Ave. N.
