Clare John Orchard

ORCHARD, Clare John - passed away after a brief but courageous battle with cancer, on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at LHSC - University Campus in his 81st year. Clare was the beloved husband of Carol (nee McLennan) Orchard. Loving father to Debbie Guy (Derek), Brad Orchard (Denise), and Susan Stuber (Fred). Cherished grandfather to Devon, Darien, Chad, Brandon, Braden, Adam, and Elyse. Great grandfather to Ryker. Clare was a member of the Masons, a founding member of the Thorndale Optimist Club as well as a volunteer fire fighter for many years. Friends may join the family for a visitation on Saturday, September 13, 2014 from 10-11am at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home Thamesford Chapel, 519-285-2427 where the memorial service which will be held at 11:00am with Rev. Dave Snihur officiating. A reception will follow at the Thorndale United Church. Private family interment in the Vining Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Brain Tumour Foundation or the Thorndale United Church would be appreciated and may be arranged through the funeral home.
