C. John Brittin, a beloved husband, devoted father, accomplished Mechanical Engineer, and passionate Entrepreneur, passed away peacefully on December 5th, 2023 at the age of 81 in Woodstock Ontario. He was born on November 11th, 1942, in Chatteris, England, and embarked on a remarkable journey that touched the lives of many.
In the late 1960's, John crossed the ocean immigrating to Canada, where he built a career in the field of Mechanical Engineering. His keen intellect and dedication led him to attain notable achievements, leaving an enduring legacy in the industry. Beyond his professional endeavours,
John was an avid scholar with an insatiable thirst for knowledge. His love for science, history, and current affairs was boundless, evident in his frequent visits to the local library where he sought wisdom in the pages of countless books. One of John's cherished joys was the simple pleasure of sitting by a campfire, gazing at the stars with his beloved family. His passion for astronomy, gardening, nature and his inclination to share these serene moments with his loved ones created cherished memories that will forever endure.
At the heart of his world was his beloved wife, Erica, with whom he shared 23 years of unwavering love, mutual respect, and profound companionship. John found immense joy in nurturing and guiding his six children: Nicola, Amanda, Richard, Felicia, Coby, and Roan; plus he was proud of his eight grandchildren. His wisdom, compassion, and dedication as a father laid the foundation for their success. John will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to his family, his passion for knowledge, his contributions to the fields of engineering and entrepreneurship.
His legacy of love, wisdom, and passion for knowledge will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. John's departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit will live on in the hearts and memories of those who were fortunate enough to have been touched by his remarkable life. Rest in peace, John. You will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
